loving a mannequin

love is a basic instinct of all human beings. Then why is it that some people are just so callous that love remains merely a word to them. And more importantly what do you do if you are madly, deeply, irrevocably in love with them...???
some say loving a mannequin is easier. in that way atleast you dont expect the figure to love you back. But when has life's rules ever been fair? certain professionals comment that the task they are privileged to do are the toughest in the world. I respectfully disagree..... the hardest task in the world can befall to any unlucky soul who had the dare to fall in love with a figurine. To love unconditionally and not receive the same, not even a small percentage of it...... and yet going about it in a happy smile hoping for the best in the near future...is the hardest goddamn task mankind had ever received.
people console saying that even if there is no trace of emotion on the surface, maybe there does exist a deep trench where love might lurk. All i ask is if there is a trace of feeling, how hard is it to show it.... even a little part??  we don't want big gestures but an occasional sentiment does bring the whole world to our feet.
the worst part of being in such a pickle is the freaking uncertainty of your paramour. the showers of  'maybe' , 'not sure' and my personal favorite 'dont know' doesnt even give you the mental rest of a hardcore YES or a groundbreaking NO.
well, people say why punish yourself being in such a position...... just break free of the misery. But what they dont understand is that for us, leaving is not an option. there always exists hope that maybe one day love will manifest itself from the idol and sweep all our hopes and wishes to the golden gates of satisfaction.
"the entire world revolves on hope, who are we not to obey the laws of love".....
